1. ā na indras dūrāt ā na āsād

whether from afar or near

abhiṣṭikd avase yāsad ugra

may the forceful Indra, granter o desires, come to us for protection

ojiṣṭhebhi: nṛpatir vajrabāhu:

accompanied by Maruts

samge samatsu turvaṇi pṛtanyūn

he overcomes foes who battle him and harms those who hurt

 

2. ā na indras haribhir yātu acha

 

arvācīnas avase rādhase ca

 

tiṣṭhāti vajrī magha virapśī

 

imam yajam anu nas vājasātau

 

 

3. imam yajam tuvam asmākam indra

 

puras dadhat saniṣyasi kratum na:

 

śvaghnīva vagrin sanaye dhanānām

 

tva vayam arya ājim jayema

 

4. ann u u ṇa: suma upāke

 

somasya nu suṣutasya svadhāva:

 

pā indra pratibhūtasya madhva:

 

sam andhasā mamada: pṛṣṭhiyena

 

 

5. vi yas rarapśa ṣibhir navebhir

 

vṛkṣas na pakva: sṛṇiyas na je

 

maryas na yoṣām abhi manyamānas

 

achā vivakmi puruhūtam indram

 

 

6. girir na ya: svatavām ṛṣva indra:

 

sanād eva sahase jāta ugra:

 

ādartā vajram sthaviram na bhīma

 

udneva kośam vasunā niṛṣṭam

 

7. na yasya vartā januṣā nu asti

 

na rādhasa āmarītā maghasya

 

udvāvṛṣāṇas taviṣīvva ugra

 

asmabhyam dadhi puruhūta rāya:

 

8. īkṣe rāya: kṣayasya carṣaṇīnām

 

uta vrajam apavartāsi gonām

 

śikṣānara: samitheṣu prahāvān

 

vasvas rāśim abhinetāsi bhūrim

 

9. ka tat chṛṇve śaciyā śaciṣṭhas

 

ya kṛnoti muhu kā cit ṛṣva:

 

puru dāśuṣe vicayiṣṭhas amhas

 

athā dadhāti draviṇam jaritre

 

10.                  mā nas mardhīr ā bharā daddhi tat na:

 

pra dāśuṣe dātave bhūri yat te

 

navye deṣṇe śaste asmin ta ukthe

 

pra bravāma vayam indra stuvanta:

 

 

11.                  nū śṭuta indara nū gṛṇāna

 

iṣam jaritre nadiyas na pīpe:

 

akāri te harivas brahma navyam
